A training program for leading policy processes, in partnership with the Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy and Strategy, Reichman University. The program provides theoretical knowledge, professional tools and practical experience, while fostering personal development and enhancing management capabilities to drive solutions to social challenges.  The program is held under the guidance of the top academic staff at Reichman University, and  under the leadership of the Dean of the Lauder School, Prof. Assaf Moghadam.

Need:

Israel’s public sector is seeing a growing number of ultra-Orthodox women in senior-level roles, who are positioned to influence public, social and communal spheres. As these women hold key decision making capabilities, they have influence on policy formation on a wide range of issues. Creating a common platform, providing professional tools, and establishing values of social responsibility and engagement will enable leveraging this valuable resource for the benefit of the broader community and Israeli society at large.

Program Goals:

Imparting theoretical knowledge and instilling management skills and practical tools to drive, lead, and implement social and community initiatives

Strengthening personal and professional skills with an emphasis on individual strengths, potential, and enhancing management capabilities

Creating a network of senior-level ultra-Orthodox women in the public sphere who share a sense of social responsibility, engagement, vision and purpose, and are working for the benefit of the community and society

Target Population:

Ultra-Orthodox women in professional positions or influential in the public/social/business arenas with managerial and leadership experience, who are motivated to learn, develop, and translate their knowledge and experience into meaningful social action.

Academic and professional knowledge facilitated by the Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy and Strategy, Reichman University

Experiential axis

Applied experience of the content and skills learned through promoting and leading solutions to selected social challenges

Group axis

Creating a meaningful membership group based on shared interests, values and goals, which serves as a platform for personal-professional development and growth

Personal axis

Professional and personal development of of each of the program's fellows, with an emphasis on personal strengths, skills and the realization of abilities and personal potential

Program alumni join ‘Lishma’s Network’ to continue advancing solutions to social challenges together, with a sense of shared social responsibility & solidarity.

Training Program:

The training program is a year-long program that combines study units and hands-on application, built according to a structured method of theoretical and practical sequence. The learning process is dynamic and proactive, and provides an in-depth and enriching learning experience. Main topics include public policy, ethics and governance, data and models in social change processes, entrepreneurship, strategy and innovation, managing partnerships and collaborations, communication and negotiation skills, work plans, policy papers, and more.
